Super Stardust is a franchise brought over from PSN on the PS3, called Super Stardust HD, Super Stardust is a game that brings back that feeling of being at an arcade and trying to beat that top score. You control a space ship that shoot fire and ice to destroy astroids, each level is a planet. Each Planet has 5 phases and gets progressively harder each phase; more astroids are shot at you, enemies become stronger and faster, and at the 5th phase you have to defeat a boss (which at times can be very difficult). Like most games, this game is easy to learn, but hard to master, but you better get good fast, because if not you will find yourself dying over and over again. If you are used to the Super Stardust on the PS3 you will know how to play this game already, but there is also a little changes put in that are exclusive to the PS Vita, such as using the back touch-pad to create black holes and tilting it to look around the planet for on coming astroids. There also is mini-games that you can unlock from completing planets, they take advantage of almost all of the Vita’s features. There isn’t much to the game besides that though, so it could be a little repetitive.
Ultimately Super Stardust Delta is an amazing arcade style game that will be both challenging and fun, and is a good game to brag your scores to your friends about. It will leave you coming back to more, trying to beat all the planets and along the way, destroying your friends’ score.
